AFRIC STAR
Blue Star Line Cargo ship

Afric Star of Blue Star line fleet was built in Middlesbrough, England by the Smith's Dock Company Ltd. Construction of the ship completed in 1975. She measured 155.81' long' and was powered by a 9-cylinder B&W diesel engine that could propel the ship up to 24 knots. Afric Star was an "A"-Class fully refrigerated five hatch cargo ship, fitted with banana doors.

We off this primarily wood Afric Star model in two popular standard sizes: 21.5" long (HO scale 1:87) and 41.6" long (O scale 1:45)

Love this quality but want a different ship? No problems, just let us know: services@modelshipmaster.com

"Dear Sir,

I would like to congratulate you on the model of the Afric Star.  I sailed as Chief Engineer on her along with her sister vessels, serving 32 years with the Blue Star Line. Only one fault and that is the colour of the funnel, the top black band should be divided by a white band. Other than that First Class.  Visit Blue Star line on the web at http://www.bluestarline.org/

Best regards
Anthony Gough"
